Who Looks Inside

The truth about seeing clearly
Is that it only comes
From looking inside
To look outside with clarity
One must first look inside with humility
There is nothing that resides outside
That you will not encounter fully
When you look within

But we are trained badly
And, lost in our imagination,
We cast a thousand projections
Onto a blank canvas
And create a world
We try to believe in

We are lost
In a dream
And no amount of
Searching the mountains, the stars, the oceans
Or the universe itself
Will tell us
What we need to know
Only when we turn our gaze
Inward
Will we find
That which we seek.

“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” – Carl Jung.
